abstract = "The computer generation of holograms is a rendering method which
enables the use physiological depth cues as stereopsis, motion
parallax and visual accommodation at realistic images synthesized
by Computer Graphics. Starting from a geometrical description of
the scene, the algorithm determines interference patterns under
specific conditions, which are put into photographic films to make
the holograms. The holography reconstruction process involves the
interference pattern observation under specific conditions.
Through backlight illumination the holograms reconstruct the real
and the virtual images of the scene presenting, simultaneously,
psychological depth cues. Considerations of hidden elements,
implemented by ray-casting, reduce the stored information as well
as improve the realism of the holographic images, favoring the
tridimensional perception of the reconstructed holographies.",
